Methods for interference mitigation in wireless networks

Anotace

In this dissertation thesis, the co-location interferences in the most popular wireless networks today – the 802.11 WLAN – are explored. The main topic of this thesis are the interferences caused by operation of several co-located radio devices on the adjacent frequency channels. The interference properties of DSSS and OFDM baseband modulations are discussed, as well as the impact of the RF transmit/receive chain. For evaluating the interferences in controlled experiments, RF emulation testbed was designed and built and several example measurements were done
