The Middle East and the European Union

Anotace

Papers presented at the 2nd Annual Conference of the Centre for Middle Eastern Studies (CMES), Prague 31st March 2007 dealing with questions pertaining to the EU and the Middle East. Bringing together academicians interested in the roles of the European Union in the Middle East have delved into contemporary politics of the State of Israel, international political involvement in the region and the prospects for peace in the Middle East. The views vary reflecting the various backgrounds of each academician bringing an array of points related to the role of the civil society, politicians and governments.
